Brief Profile:
Originally used this site as a personal inventory, but decided to fill it out in more detail on a snowy day to hopefully help future applicants.
Feel free to PM me with questions!
Mistakes made / Lessons learned: 1. I applied to way too many schools. I think I was worried about my ECs but 15 probably would have been sufficient. 2. I didn't prewrite any secondaries. As a result of that (and some personal issues), I spent ~2 months on most of my secondaries. In hindsight, it didn't seem to hurt me that much in getting interviews, especially with the "top tier" schools, but as a result, I would have saved a lot of time if I had prewritten those essays. 3. Letters of recommendation seem like they're so important in this process. Their comments are probably one of, if not the most, discussed topic during my interviews. 4. More to come!

Summary of Experience:
I actually really liked GW'S program and its location in DC was a huge plus for me. Despite that, I didn't think I would attend over UMMS (which also has awesome hsr opportunities).
Summary of Experience:
I wanted an excuse to go home to California, but I don't think that (if accepted) I would have gone to SC over my current options. Guess the admissions committee might have realized that given the long silence...
Summary of Experience:
I thought my application cycle was over (and even celebrated with friends), but was pleasantly surprised to receive an II from Hopkins in mid-Dec.
UPDATE: Decided to withdraw after a lot of consideration. Hopkins is an amazing place and I would be so so so lucky if accepted, but I don't think I could justify picking Hopkins over UCLA.
Summary of Experience:
I really liked the hosts at Pitt but didn't feel a connection with the rest of the school. In all honesty, probably should have withdrawn pre-decision but I wanted to wait to see the decision
Summary of Experience:
UPDATE: So so so happy. UCLA has been my top choice since the beginning, and now the Geffen scholarship makes it very likely that I'll attend :DDD
