Summary of Application Experience
The whole process has been both emotionally and financially draining. I applied late (completed AMCAS in mid-October, secondaries in mid-November). I'm sure the whole process would have gone better if I had applied earlier, but don't be too discouraged if you apply late. I'm proof that you still have a shot:)
My first interview was at Wayne State and I heard shortly after (12/15) that I was accepted. After this, I withdrew many of my other applications and declined some interview offers. I was really interested in Case Western and interviewed there on 1/10. The school was nice, but my interview was terrible. I was stuck with a guy who just quizzed me about current events, local politics, and gambling. I was so put off by the way he treated me that it colored my perception of the school a little. What a disaster this day was.
I expect that I'll get my rejection from them any day now. So most likely, Wayne State it is! Cool, because it's so affordable.
The whole admissions process is so mysterious. Best of luck to you all and if you have any more questions about anything I mentioned, [email protected]
