Summary of Experience:
What an amazing place. I initially didn\'t even apply to WashU since I didn\'t want to be so far from home. After receiving a letter from Dean Dodson though, I reconsidered and applied. It was a great decision. I ended up interviewing there just before Thanksgiving. Instead of the typical pizza party that WashU throws for interviewees the night before their interviews, the MS1s actually put together an entire Thanksgiving Dinner and invited us. It was the first of many signs that WashU was a cohesive, welcoming environment that really cared about its students. This is all in addition to its superb curriculum, faculty, staff, and facilities. All the buildings there are state-of-the-art, among the nicest, if not THE nicest of all the places that I interviewed. The children\'s hospital lobby looked like FAO Schwartz in midtown Manhattan. I interviewed with Dean Dodson who took my interest in the school to an even greater level in our conversation. I can\'t say enough good about my time at WashU. I was really hoping to get in there, but I was ultimately waitlisted. Congrats to everyone who got in though- they will love the school and their decision to attend!
I really loved my interviewer at BU. She made the interview completely stress-free and shared my research interests despite being in a seemingly different specialty. She was a great \"cheerleader\" for the school and really made me excited about BU.
Didn\'t really love the facilities there as they looked a little old and run down. My biggest issue with BU was the location of the school itself. The area did not appear to be the safest, especially having interviewed at Tufts just one day before.
Really appreciated the mission of Boston Medical though as a Safety Net hospital. Anyone who trains there will get excellent, diverse clinical exposure.
Summary of Experience:
Planning to matriculate here unless any waitlist movement occurs. Really excited about this! I love Boston and really enjoyed my interview day experience at Tufts.
