    Summary of Application Experience

[6/28] - Received MCAT score. Right on AAMC average.
[8/4] - First interview invite to FIU. Will be in Tanzania throughout August, will schedule mid September date.
[9/2] - Interview invite to USC. #1 school, I am so excited!
[9/6] - Hofstra Interview Invite. My father was on the board of the North Shore / LIJ health system for 30 years. So for me it\'d be a real pleasure to be a part of something that he was directly involved in. Although the school is new, the hospital system is incredible and I feel lucky to have an interview! The school is 20 minutes from my parents and I\'d enjoy returning to Long Island after 10 years away!
[9/9] FIU interview was this afternoon. Didn\'t go well at all, not expecting much in 6 weeks... hopefully USC will go better. Miami is beautiful though!
[9/13] Great interview at USC. I loved everything about the school and LAC hospital.
[10/17] Accepted to USC!!! Best day ever!
[10/17] Accepted to FIU. Wasn\'t expecting that...!
[1/18] Decided to update. Ultimately, I didn\'t apply to Cornell (removed the school from my list) and there\'s been no love from Philly. Still hoping for an interview at Geffen though. It was really wonderful hearing from USC so early, it made this whole process of applying relatively easy and anxiety free. There is a part of me that wishes I had applied to more top tier programs, but I always worried that my low gpa would prevent me from being considered. Oh well... I believe that my personality is ideally suited for trauma/emergency medicine; no better place to train than USC+LAC!
[2/12] My fiancé was accepted today to Western\'s DO program, which is 30 minutes away from Keck. Off to Southern California in August.
[3/6] Rejected from UCLA yesterday, oh well... Temple interview invite today. Better late than never?
