Summary of Experience:
I applied here naively expecting to score in the mid/upper 30s on the MCAT like I was on the official AAMC practice exams. Had I known when I submitted my primary that I was going to freeze up for the first two sections and subsequently drop my score a number of points, I would not have applied here.
Summary of Experience:
Oddly enough, I never received the "small pool" email, but the rejection email referred to me as if I had been small pooled. Oh well.
Summary of Experience:
This is the first rejection that stings. UR was a top choice of mine... until I found out lecture attendance is mandatory and not recorded. No thanks.
Summary of Experience:
The rejection email said I had been placed into a category of potential interviewees, but they didn't have enough slots. So close, and yet so far away!
Summary of Experience:
FINALLY rejected via portal with no email sent (put "on hold" on 10/20). They were super-rude and disorganized the whole way through, so good riddance.
Summary of Experience:
Amazed to be rejected because I thought my interview went fairly well. No great loss, though. They were my least favorite by far of the seven schools where I interviewed! Maybe it showed? *shrug* Would have been nice to hear something prior to 247 days post-interview.
Summary of Experience:
Deferred on 12/18, which seems indistinct from a waitlist-type decision. Ultimately rejected despite sending two updates.
OSU wrenched my heart out of Iowa's still very attractive hands. I would absolutely love to get in here; it felt nearly perfect for me. I will do a detailed side by side comparison between schools if I get in, but I suspect an acceptance would result in my moving to Columbus. My interviews went very well, I think, so I'm hoping I have a shot at hearing good news!
Summary of Experience:
Placed on the top 1/3 of the waitlist and subsequently accepted! I guess I didn't do as terribly as I'd thought.
Felt like my MMI performances were inconsistent, ranging from horrible to fantastic and everything inbetween. Wish I could have another shot at it now that I know better how it works!
Summary of Experience:
Placed in the first quartile of the alternate list and eventually accepted! Felt like I knocked this interview out of the park. The day was very low-stress and I felt that I was a great social fit! The facilities were extremely old but under construction. Unbeatable location for someone interested in EM. We'll see!
Summary of Experience:
Shocked to be accepted... thought I bombed that interview. Mizzou impressed me more than expected. I will likely go to their second look to check them out, if I can.
Summary of Experience:
First acceptance!! I am thrilled and honored to be accepted to a school that I loved so much!
Interview went well enough, but Indiana's interview was stronger in most regards. I really liked nearly everything about what I heard and saw at Iowa and in Iowa City, and I could see myself being extremely happy here!
