Brief Profile:
Small-ish town Iowa kid. Involved in pretty much everything. Triple major in biochem, math and philosophy. Was a national champion gymnast (tumbler), enjoy playing violin and singing, some clinical volunteer hours and quite a bit of shadowing, and lots of research (5 projects, one first-author math publication, one second author developmental bio manuscript submitted to top tier journal). Only applied MSTP. Submitted most of my secondaries pretty late. We'll see what happens! Good luck to everyone applying this cycle.

MSTP- Loved my visit here. Great school, excellent faculty. All around, a really down-to-earth, yet extremely motivated group of people. Every school talks about how "collaborative" the faculty are, but I was actually convinced this time. West coast, best coast? I guess we'll see.

MSTP- This is a dream come true. If I had to choose today, I would go here. But I'm going to wait and go to second looks at a couple other MSTP programs just to be sure.
