Due to the small percentage of out of state acceptances and the 90 dollar secondary fee, it wasn't worth applying here. Great school though; I'd rank it in the top 10 best DO schools.

9/1/2011 Placed on HOLD. I was looking forward to visiting this campus too. I felt it was the strongest out of all the Touro schools.

Heard some great things about this school. However, Kirkesville sounded too rural for my liking. Plane ticket to interview would have cost 500+ dollars, so I decided to withdraw.

Update: 1/20/2011 Given Interview Invite. It would be great to get accepted by Western. Close to family, near LA, good rotations. Not sure how MMI's are going to be though.
2/2/2012: Interview. First off, the school's not very pretty on the outside. It basically looks like a strip mall, which it used to be. However, the facilities inside are very nice. I'm not too sure about the curriculum other than the fact that it is P/F, which is a plus to me. Also, the 6 weeks we get to review for step 1 at the end of second year is a major positive for me. The rotation sites seem pretty good, with major hospitals being ARMC and Riverside county, both of which have residency programs. However, the other sites don't pop out to me to be as strong as CCOM. I do want to remain on the west coast for residency, preferably Seattle, so it may be best to stay in Western. Hopefully an acceptance is at hand.
2/24/2012: Rejected, it was a great run. I was happy to have the opportunity to get an interview at Western. Definitely a great school, but in the end it's not for me.

First official rejection of the season.
My interview here didn't go as well as I had hoped. I felt that I didn't answer the questions as thoroughly as possible and bombed the questions about academic red flags in my app. However, both interviewers were friendly and very respectful.
The campus was very beautiful. It had a very classic look on the outside, but modern inside. The student building was very nice too. Good coffee shop.

Summary of Experience:
The campus is beautiful. Nova really impressed me during the interview day. I could definitely see myself going here. The students were all really friendly and seemed very happy with their decision. The admissions staff also were very friendly. Nova is also rare in that it has a "university" feel, with an undergrad and PhD programs. Overall, I really hope I get accepted here.
9/20/2011: Got waitlisted. Depressing, since I did like this school.
My interview was short, about 5 questions. Since it was my first interview, I think I was slightly nervous, which affected my interview.
